In the rapidly changing circumstances of the Catholic Church, the use of liturgical space as an authentic expression of faith presents a crucial challenge for new evangelization.
Therefore the Tiltenberg, the centre for religious formation of the Diocese of Haarlem-Amsterdam, has organized a two-day international conference entitled “Liturgy and Sacred Space” on the 5th and 6th of November of 2012. Due to the large amount of foreign speakers the conference will be in English.
The conference is open to diverse audiences of all dioceses.
Program:
Day 1:
The theological and liturgical principles.
Speakers: Mgr. Dr. J. Hendriks (Auxiliary Bishop of Haarlem-Amsterdam), Mons. G. Marini (Ceremoniaris to Pope Benedict XVI), Rev. Prof. U.M. Lang C.O., Rev. Ab. Dom M.J. Zielinski O.S.B. Oliv., Rev. Prof. S. Vitiello, Rev. M. Sup. Maria de Anima Christi van Eijk, Rev. Dr. M. Remery, Architect A. Cicerone.
For this we invite in particular teachers, priests, deacons, seminarians and other students.
Day 2:
The concrete application
Speakers: Mons. G. Marini (Ceremoniaris to Pope Benedict XVI), Rev. Prof. S. Vitiello, Architects A. Cicerone and C. Lomonte, Rev. Ab. Dom M.J. Zielinski O.S.B. Oliv., etc.
For this we especially invite those who’s occupation is in construction and ecclesiastical art, pastors and parish boards of churches which need to be refurbished, but also others who are appointed in the pastoral or are active in church boards.
